What to Do?

For many people, the first reaction is to start shooting people, but who?

Yourself
There is a concept in leadership where you draw five circles. The first circle is drawn around you/your desk. This circle requires you to answer the question "Are you the source of the problem?" and "Can you fix the problem?"

For me?

I am part of the problem. I didn't get on social media and urge you to vote for Donald Trump. I didn't talk to my family, didn't put a yard sign in our yard, and so on. I also didn't hold my elected representatives accountable these last few years. I didn't talk to my family about abandoning the facebook, chirping bird, or eliminating purchases from Amazon. The list is endless.

So, ...

Like any good murder/suicide, in which the suicide should be first, I should shoot myself because I can't fix this problem.

But, ...

I can help by doing all the things I should have been doing for these last few decades, boycotting businesses advertising on ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/PBS/... during their news programs then letting the businesses know about it, boycotting professional and college sportsball and letting my colleagues know about it, actually supporting primary candidates to unseat the RINOs, informing people about alternative information and commentary sources, like Ace of Spades HQ and Washington Watch and Clusterfuck Nation and Of Two Minds.

Immediate Family
In business, the second circle is drawn around your team. In this case, the second circle is your family, and like the first circle, we have to answer the questions "Are we the source of the problem?" and "Can we fix the problem?"

Like before, my family and I are part of the problem. We shop at Target, stay at Marriott hotels, buy groceries from Kroger, don't go to church, don't shop local, and so on.

But, ...

Like before, we can be part of the solution by shopping at stores that don't enforce wearing a useless mask, purchasing firearms and learning how to effective use them for defensive purposes, storing food and water, being financially responsible, and all the other things I have mentioned.

Extended Family and The Local Community
The next circle is drawn around the business. Like the first two circles, you ask the questions "Are we the source of the problem?" and "Can we fix the problem?"

Now, this is where people begin to point their finger, especially the Left, and say "You are the problem!!!" You; my uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother, and so on; are racist for supporting Trump, building the southern border wall, stemming the flow of undocumented immigrants, and the other insults hurled by the Left and the Right..

But, ...

Like the other two circles, we are part of the solutions by informing the locally elected officials that you support their decision to request people to voluntarily wear masks, boycott local and national businesses requiring masks, working to elect people that enforce the law for everyone just not the Right, refusing to buy the local newspaper masquerading as being impartial, buying supplies in other cities, counties, or states that don't require wearing masks, refusing to support the local college sportsball teams especially if they promote BLM or Leftist ideas.

The State and Nation Government
The fourth circle is drawn around the customer. For us, it's going to be the larger political organizations, like the political parties, state and federal governments, and ...

But, ...

We have to be careful because advocating to overthrow of the government, especially the national government, is illegal. It is called insurrection, the violent overthrow of the government, which shooting politicians is definitely violent and illegal.

So, ...

Like before, we are part of the problem. We have strayed, over the decades, from our core principals of Life, Liberty, and Republican government.

But, ...

We can be part of the solution by holding our elected representatives and unelected officials accountable for their action or lack of action, building and using alternative applications, like DuckDuckGo and SwissCows, paying for e-mail that doesn't harvest your information, using encryption software like OpenPGP, reducing our taxes by only paying our legally required taxes, not using the facebook, singing bird, G-mail, the Google search engine, and ... ad nauseum.

Everyone
The last and final circle encompasses everyone.

And, ...

We, as a whole, are the problem, and the easiest method of defeating the mythical 'Them' is to laugh by  making fun of their stupidity, like Scott Adams, Al Goodwyn, and others, ignore their edicts, and other counter-culture methods that have been used on us, outlined in Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky.
