How Many?

Several days ago, ...

Aesop, over at Raconteur Report, posed a question that I would like to answer

Freedom
All citizens of this country, these United States, have basic rights given to us by our God. They are enshrined in the first ten amendments to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights.

This means our government; local, State, or Federal; doesn't have the right to prohibit citizens from attending their place of worship, in any number.

Next, ...

The Federal government doesn't have the power to demand the states to shutdown their restaurants, barbershops, retail stores, factories, childcare centers, and ad nauseam ..., unless these businesses cross states lines.

Commonsense
This doesn't mean the Constitution of these United States and its amendments is a suicide pact between our governments and its peoples. It means, the government must convince our citizens that the measures required to beat the CCP Virus are meaningful, thoughtful, and truly required by our citizens and its visitors.

Consequences
Aesop is correct. Failing to convince our citizens of these measures will lead to unnecessary deaths, maybe into the millions.

But, ...

Demanding our citizens to close their businesses, shelter at home, or prevent our citizens from attending their place of worship by government fiat is tyranny. Tyranny that will lead to the loss of respect and confidence in our government.

A loss that allow adversaries of our freedoms to prosper and enclave hundreds of millions.

Answer
Finally, to answer Aesop's question.

I am willing to allow millions of people to die, especially tyrants, including Aesop.
